Before you start, check the version of Safari running on your Mac. To display the version number, choose Safari > About Safari.

• If your Safari version is 11.0 or later, follow the steps in For Mac OS X 10.11, macOS 10.12, and later.
  
• If your Safari version is 10.0 or later, follow the steps in For Mac OS X 10.10.

Click the Websites tab and scroll down to the Plug-ins section. Locate the Adobe Flash Player entry.


Select a setting to use for Flash Player when you visit other websites.


You can configure Flash for individual websites (domains). Select a website listed in this window, and choose Ask, Off, or On.


Exit Preferences after you finish configuring Flash Player.

Note:

If you are viewing Safari in full-screen mode, mouse over the top of the browser screen to see the menu.

Click the Security tab. Ensure that Enable JavaScript and Allow Plug-ins are selected. Click Plug-in Settings.




From the When visiting other websites menu, choose On, and then click Done.

In Safari, perform the following steps to enable Java so it will run:

1. Choose Safari > Preferences.

2. Click the 'Security' tab, then click the 'Manage Website Settings…' button.

3. For each website you have visited that uses the Java web plug-in, you can choose one of four settings, but we recommend you select Allow

In Chrome, perform the following steps to enable Java (Yosemite):

1. Click the menu icon to the right of the browser toolbar

2. Select Settings

3. Click the Show advanced settings... link

4. Click Content Settings in the 'Privacy section'

5. Select Allow local data to be set in the 'Cookies' section

6. Select Allow all sites to run JavaScript in the 'JavaScript' section

In Chrome, perform the following steps to enable Java (OS X Mavericks):

1. Java for Web browsers is disabled by default. You have to enable it in Java Control Panel. Follow the steps below to enable it for the browsers.

2. Go to System preferences -> Java. A new window will open. Go to security tab (4th from left). Tick the checkbox labeled 'Enable java content in the browser'.

3. In Safari you have to allow Java plugin as well. Go to Preferences->Security. Enable Internet plugin.
